How to Create a Database-Only Backup
- Open
Database Backups. - Select
Full Database BackuporSelected Tables Backup. - If selected tables mode is used, choose required tables.
- Pick destination and click Start Database Backup.
- Track progress using the database backup progress bar.
How to Inspect Contents of a Backup
- Open
Backup Browser. - Select source (
LocalorRemote) and backup file. - Click Files & Folders to navigate archive contents.
- Click Database to view table counts in backup vs current DB.
This helps validate that expected files/tables were captured before a restore.
How to Compare Two Backups
- Open
Backup Diff Viewer. - Select base backup and comparison backup.
- Click Compare Backups.
- Review:
- Files added/removed/modified
- Plugins/themes added/removed/changed
- DB schema added/removed/changed tables
How to Change Local/Remote Backup Folder Name
- Go to
Settings. - Set
Backup Folder Nameto desired value (e.g.acme-backups). - Save settings.
- Run a new backup and verify:
- Local backups now appear under
wp-content/uploads/acme-backups - OCI object keys use prefix
acme-backups/
- Local backups now appear under
Existing backups are not moved automatically when changing folder/prefix.
How to Protect a Backup from Retention Deletion
- In
Backup & Restore, select a backup row. - Click Lock Selected Backup.
- Confirm lock indicator appears.
- Run additional backups and verify retention skips locked backup.
How to Submit a Support Ticket
- Go to the Backora Support Center.
- Click Submit a Ticket and fill in the form with your issue details.
- Attach relevant information such as log excerpts, screenshots, or your support bundle (see Collect a Support Bundle).
- Submit the ticket. You will receive a confirmation with your ticket ID.
- Return to the Support Center at any time to view your ticket status and add follow-up replies.
